Charles Barnard - Keyboards and VocalsHas been playing piano for over 50 years. He studied classical piano for 10 years and jazz for 3 years.
He joined his first band when he was 14 years old.
He continued to play in various cover bands for the next 8 years. He then formed Razzle, a Top-40 band that played in hotels and resorts throughout the US.
From 1987-1990, Charles was the keyboardist for Midnight Cafe. He recorded two albums with them.
In the early ‘90s, he was in the backup band for singer Vicki Harvey.
In 2001, Charles formed Big Fatty with 2 friends. The Classic rock/classic R & B group played throughout metro Detroit for the next 18 years.
In 2021, Charles was a founding member of Joyriders.

Felt influenced from the early beginning by the Beatles, which inspired me to play drums in the school band when I was 11 years old. Started playing the drum kit by the time I was 12 years old playing along as a duet with my sister on piano. I also studied drum styles from big the bands while playing along with records learning the coordination of the drum kit with a band. The groups in the60-70s that most influenced my style of drumming had to be: The Beatles, James Brown Band, Led Zepplin and of course my favorite, Mitch Mitchell, drummer for Jimmy Hendrix Experience; There are so many others…. Having a great time with Joyriders when I sit at the kit and have these talented rockers all around me, making some great music together is what it’s all about.
